NYFW Insights 2017

Wearing: Mystic Cotton Full Jumper | Pearl Slip on's | Gucci Belt

If you followed along my NYFW journey you know that I saw a tremendous amounts of stripes and ruffles on the runway This is nothing new for fashion but designers are definitely getting even more creative with this trend. Another thing I loved seeing was muted pinks and loud pops of color! This is going to be huge for me since I tend to have a more monochrome color pallet. My favorite new trend I saw had to be the replacement of last years corset trend with a sweater tied at the waist. Creatures of Comfort make this look effortless. As always Chromat is one of my favorite shows for the way they challenge diversity, race, size, and even gender. I love that the brand continuously pushes to stand out in that way. Not to mention seeing Jordyn Woods walk was amazing! (see it here)   All in all this was another impressive and thrilling NYFW. It was a crazy week's worth of inspiration overload, and I can't wait to see what's coming next!

Day Three & Four; NYFW F/W

Day Three:

Day three was yet again busy but definitely more relaxed then the previous days. (day one & two: click here)  I started the day off with Designer Runa Ray. I was so excited to see her debut this NYFW, and she did not disappoint. I absolutely loved her mix of art and fashion. I also loved the unexpected menswear pieces! I'm sure you can guess why. "Hint" Honestly Him.

Day Four:

Day four was short & sweet for me! Red and black seem to be my favorites, which was totally not planned. These button track pants were the perfect pant for the chilly weather here in NYC. In honor of the mr.selfportrait show from day three, I paired these sporty pants with Robert Clergerie x Self Portrait Patent Point Toe Pumps.  Francesca Liberatore is always a favorite for me. This season her plaid and floral pieces were my favorite! I saw similar styles at the Dan Liu show.

Day One & Two; NYFW F/W

Day One Look

Fall is here and so is some amazing new designs! I started my day at The Dream Hotel for a MKU & hair style session with Redken, then headed to an afternoon of shows! I have absolutely loved the theatrical shows and designs this season. Shows like Desigual, so different and fun, of course the classics like Noon by Noor.  Needless to say Fashion Week is off to a great start! Shop my NYFW day one look below:

Day Two was nothing less then amazing. Lots of neutrals, florals, and bright colors walked the runway this season. Fringe and ruffles were also spotted in multiple designer shows and presentations. 831MINHLE was definitely one of my favorites from the day. Besides the obvious Chromat show. Shop my look Below:

Architeqt Salon and Gallery

I've been to so many salons over the years and I've never found one as unique as the Architeqt Salon and Gallery. Not only are they in Philadelphia but their stylists are extremely versatile! I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Alba a more recent stylists to the salon. She gave my coper blonde a lift with a gloss treatment and gave me the best beach waves I've ever had! Her technique to waving/curling hair is something Ive never seen before! If your from the area and looking for a new updated salon to go to Architeqt Salon and Gallery is the place to go!

In collaboration with the Architeqt Salon and Galley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
